Pie-A-Teacher takes place April 1--no fooling

“Pie a Teacher is a joint fundraiser between the UNICEF [United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund] Club and the Gender Equality Club to raise money for their respective charities,” Dawn Indelicato-Faw said.

The UNICEF Club will be donating their funds to UNICEF; the Gender Equality Club will give their earnings to Lydia’s House, it is a local organization that helps to educate and house female victims of domestic violence, along with their children.

The teachers participating in the pie a teacher event will be:

-John Becker

-Joe Weir

All of these volunteer teachers will leave with, “The good feeling of helping make the world a better place,” Indelicato-Faw said. These are the for sure teachers. The more donations and volunteer teachers that come, the more names that will be added to the list.

“Students get involved by donating money and pie-ing a teacher,” Indelicato-Faw said.

The actual pie-ing of teachers will take place during all three lunches on Friday, April 1. The students chosen to pie the teachers will be chosen at random during the specific lunch shift.
