Out and About: Founder’s Day

The celebration of Wildwood, MO will be happening this up coming weekend of Aug. 26-28.
Taking place in the Wildwood Town Center, all surrounding towns are welcome to participate in festivities. However, limited parking is available. For maps and more information view the City of Wildwood’s website or follow the link to
Consisting of various food vendors; locals can expect a fun community event as well as live entertainment.
Vendors will include Big Chief Roadhouse, Nothing Bundt Cakes, The Shish Kabob Guys, Dippin’ Dots and Kona Ice to name a few.
Friday, August 26 The 399th U.S. Army Band will be preforming at 6:45 p.m. along with Back Street Cruisers the following Saturday from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. Later in the evening Ralph Butler Band will take the stage and play at 6:45 p.n.
The main event and purpose of this weekend festival is to celebrate the community as a whole and the founders that made it possible. Saturday at 9 a.m.the Founder’s Parade will take place and shortly after a car show.
In conclusion of Saturday’s main events, fireworks will start around 9:15 p.m.
Ending a long weekend of festivities, Sunday will include an art festival, tasty treats and music.
