After the 2015-2016 season, the Lancers girls basketball team is looking ahead towards next year.
The Lancers girls basketball team ended their season on Feb 29 with a 10-14 record, coming in fourth place in the playoffs.
The Lancers were knocked out of the playoffs after a loss in the semi-finals against Washington High School.
The game was played at Marquette High School on, ending with a final score of 61-31.
“They were really good, we didn’t play as well as we could have,” Jordyn Terry said.
Terry says that the team is going to have to practice scoring in the offseason to prepare for next season.
“Two of our top scorers are seniors that are leaving next year.”
Included in Lafayette’s graduating senior class are Maria Johnson, Jenny Kohl, and Taylor Dent. These are three of Lafayette’s top scorers with 94, 90, and 75 total points respectively.
Lafayette will have to respond to this change in the offseason to achieve success in the 2016-2017 season.
