The Lancers boy’s track season started on April 2 with the Festus Early Bird meet, in which Lafayette came in first for both boys and girls. The Lancers also took first at the meet at Northwest and are looking forward to their next competitions.

“We just work out and have fun,” said junior Chase Bonnes.

The team competed in the Henle Holmes Invitational on April 14 and 15 and the boys team took first. The Lancers finished with 129 points while the runner up, Timberland, scored 94.5.

Highlights include senior Brad Alexander and Dylan Quisenberry’s performance. Alexander finished first in both the 100m and 200m sprints and Quisenberry took the gold for 3200m with a time of 9:34, qualifying to compete at Districts.

After a win on April 24 the boys track record sits at 3-0.
