Be the Change hosts car bash event

Nick Horstmann, Cover Story Editor

On Oct. 27, Be the Change will be hosting a car bash event to help promote drug and alcohol free programming and raise awareness for drunk driving.

Students can pay $1 to hit a donated car with a sledgehammer as a way to “bash out drugs”. All the money raised will go back to Be the Change which will then be put back into the school as other ways to raise awareness for different issues.

All participants must wear closed toed shoes, eye protection, and gloves will be provided.

Teachers had the option to sign their class up to attend the event any hour of the day. The majority of the spots have already been filled, leaving just a few for teachers to still sign up.
