Lafayette Theatre Company to bring laughs with Leading Ladies
October 21, 2015
After months of rehearsing, the Lafayette Theatre Company (LTC) will put on their rendition of Leading Ladies from Oct. 22 to Oct. 24.
“It’s the story of two guys who are Shakespearean actors down on their luck, who decide to make money by tricking an old women into thinking they are her nephews. However, they find out that she only has nieces, so they have to dress up as women and try to convince her that they are her nieces,” Natasha Toro, LTC director, said.
The play centers around seniors Chris O’Connor and Austin Stoecker, who star as the cross-dressing leads.
“[Our characters] keep trying to con this women out of her money, but in the mean time fall in love with members of her family and shenanigans ensue,” O’Connor said.
Tickets for the play will be available in advance during all lunch hours for $5 and will be available at the door of each performance for $7. The first show will be on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
“First of all, seeing Austin and I in drag and dresses is hilarious in itself, but the what happens in the play makes it classic and funny. When you watch, you’ll see us acting around pretending to be girls and only think ‘this is really funny,'” O’Connor said.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
