Lafayette boys soccer (14-0-1) is the only undefeated team remaining in the state, and have won 13 straight.

Varsity played a tough game against Hazelwood West on Oct. 6.  Goals from Colton Boone, who is Lafayette’s current leading scorer with six goals, and Jarid Morton, who is second leading scorer with five goals, led to the Lancers winning 2-1 against Hazelwood West (10-5). Assists came from Boone and Dawson Albright.

This run of good form has lead to the Lancers being ranked #7 in St. Louis among larger schools. Despite a win over #9 Mehlville (11-5), Lafayette failed to move any higher in the ranking as of Oct. 7. in the stlhighschoolsports.com rankings. This may be attributed to the ten one-goal wins out of 15 games.

The Lancers take on the 7-7-1 Parkway South Patriots on Oct. 8 at 4:15 p.m. at home.
