Boys volleyball season ends in loss to Lindbergh

It was a tough night for the Lafayette varsity boys volleyball team, as their season suddenly ended with a heartbreaking loss to Lindbergh.

The Flyers swept the Lancers, 25-22, 25-12 in the State quarterfinals held at Francis Howell on Monday. Lindbergh was lead by players  George Diehl and Matt Reinsel, who recorded 13 kills and 20 assists, respectively.

The Flyers will move on to face Francis Howell, while the Lancers will end their solid season, wondering what they can do to improve on next year.

Sophomore Nick Lavanchy feels that this will only bode well for him and his team, saying, “From hear on out, I’m going to use this as motivation. You have to keep fighting through everything. We should be ready for these types of games next time.”
