Boys volleyball has a bright season ahead
April 11, 2014
Picking up where they left off last season, the boys volleyball team has successfully compiled a record of 7-0. After losing four contributing seniors from last years team, this season was supposed to be a year to rebuild.
Head Coach Doug Ell said, “We always like to remember the end because it looks so much better than the beginning, but it is a process. Teams don’t want to be their best the first match out, but you want to build so that each year you’re at your best at the end.”
Although it looks like the boys have other plans in mind, after not losing a single game this season yet. St. Louis High School Sports said they’re a team to keep your eyes on.
The Lancer squad made their first big appearance in the preseason tournament Red Gold Division on March 29. With only dropping one set out of all five matches, they defeated Fort Zumwalt North, Parkway South, CBC and Parkway Central.
Hoping to bring home yet another win, tonight, April 11, in the home gym, the team will face off against DeSmet High School at 5:30 p.m. Theme for tonight’s game is black out.
