Big Shoes to Fill

Lafayette Girls Volleyball has always been known as a force to be reckoned with. With three consecutive state championships to brag about, the team is about to venture into a new season starting on the thirteenth. This season will serve as a challenge for the team, now that the Scott sisters and Lily Johnson have graduated and the team introduces new faces.

Needless to say, the pressure is on for senior captain Tori Roe, who feels confident this group of girls can continue the legacy. Roe said, “We’ve been working really hard and everyone is gelling… I’ve been working really hard to be a good example for these girls.”

The team has some promising up and comers including sophomore Emelie Orlando, who is the youngest player. The competition is fierce as teams including St. Joe, Marquette, and Parkway West always serve as a challenge. This year will be an exciting year for Lafayette Girls Volleyball, and hopefully another undefeated season.
