An unexpected winter storm has caught the Midwest off guard.
In some places over a foot of snow has been recorded. The National Winter Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the entore St. Louis region.
Snow started falling in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, March 24. For many students Spring Break has been full of hot sun and sandy beaches, however for those students who stayed at home this ‘Spring’ Break has been much more of a ‘winter’ break than expected.
Junior Ben Freet said, “I didn’t suspect [the storm] because it was so warm yesterday. The storm is very big, I can’t drive anywhere.”

This out of season storm is expected to last well in to the night, with possibilities of snow into tomorrow morning.
