The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) loosened its restriction on Plan B One Step, the morning after pill, allowing 15-year-olds to buy the morning-after pill without a prescription.
The morning after pill is a type of emergency birth control that can be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected sex in order to prevent pregnancy.
Originally, the pill was offered only to females 17 years old and up without a prescription. The lowered age requirement has caused a lot of controversy over whether this encourages teens to have sex or offers them more protection.
The Image asked students their thoughts on the easier accessibility to the morning after pill. Watch the video to see their answers.
