The boys volleyball squad continued their impressive hot streak with a dominant 2-0 home victory over perennial powerhouse Oakville on Thursday, April 11.
Lafayette, who bounced Parkway South 2-0 at home two days earlier, have now only dropped two sets in their past seven league matches.
The Lancers now sit atop the Suburban West Conference, thanks in part to the influential play of outside hitter junior Mike Chard.
Chard, the most contributing non-senior, is second on the team in serving efficiency, third in kills and third in solo blocks on the season.
The resilient play of senior libero Ryan Gettinger has also been unparalled in the Lancers’ run. Gettinger leads the conference with 122 total digs. He also has the squad’s third highest serve-receive efficiency rating, recording only two errors in 92 attempts for a 97.83 percent success rating.
The streak’s next challenger will be Mehlville. The 6-7 Panthers will meet the Lancers at Lafayette on Thursday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
