Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

Lafayette hopes to defeat Parkway South on Struble night

Lafayette hopes to defeat Parkway South on Struble night

In 1990, senior forward Jason Struble was awarded the team’s Sixth Man award. In fact, the award was renamed after him in 1997. One of the reasons the name of the award was changed, was because two days after his final game, Struble was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Little was known about the disease at the time, so therefore, there was nothing doctors could do for him. His faith, courage, and strength affected everyone around him. He battled the disease for 26 months, but eventually passed away on May, 1992.

Now, in 2013, we still honor him by awarding the “Struble Sixth Man Award” each season and hold a special night for him each season to commemorate his courage. The Lancers will be sporting a shirt that has his name and photo printed on it for their warm-ups.

However in order to win the important conference game on this special night, the Lancers will have to play strong defense, and keep Parkway’s leading scorer Chris Dandridge in check as they look to increase their four game win streak. The game begins at 7 p.m. and will be played on the Lancers home floor.
