The 11-10 Lady Lancers look to upset rival Marquette on the road this Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Offensively, Lafayette will be led on the court by senior Hannah Finley. She leads LHS with 12.7 points per game, with sophomore Maddie Siefert not far behind at 10.2 points per game.
Seifert and senior Hannah Schneider lead the Lady Lancers on the boards, posting 6.6 and 6.8 rebounds per game, respectively.
The Lady Lancers will face a tough task in defeating the Lady Mustangs, who are 13-6 with a 4-0 conference record.
Senior Ashley Ploudre has been instrumental for Marquette, averaging an astounding 22.9 points per game, according to stlhighschoolsports.com.
Ploudre also leads the Lady Mustangs defensively with 7.7 rebounds per game.
The boys’ game this Friday has already sold out, so large crowds should be on hand for both contests.
