Saturday Nov. 17, students from the senior class have the opportunity to attend special activities with their parents.  The senior class is hosting Mother-Daughter Bunko and Father-Son Game Night.

Mother Daughter Bunko is the first event of the day held at Forest Hills Country Club.  It is from 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.  A complimentary 5 x 7 photo will be taken upon arrival and brunch will begin at 11 a.m.  The bunko teams will consist of mother and daughter.

The cost of this activity is $50, with checks made payable to “LHS Celebration 2013.”  The deadline for registration is Nov. 13.

Father-Son Game Night will be held that night at Amini’s Game Room in the Valley on Chesterfield Airport Road.  The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and a buffet will follow.  At 7:30 p.m., the poker tournement will begin.  However, it is limited to 80 people.

Other events include shuffleboard, ping pong, pinball and darts.

Father-Son Game Night is $40, with checks also made payable to “LHS Celebration 2013” due Nov. 13.

Assistant Principal Tim Jones said 60-75 seniors usually take part in these activities.

“It’s a great way for seniors to celebrate their senior year.  It’s also a great memory maker for when they go off to college,” he said.

There are two more events similar to these in the spring for seniors to participate in with their other parent.
