In the Battle of 109, Carr went 2 for 4, scoring one run, as the Lancers beat the Wildcats 11-5. As a captain, Carr led Lafayette to their ninth State championship.

On Oct. 19, Fox 2 news channel came to Lafayette to feature the morning pep assembly before the football game against Fox High School.
