As a promotional mechanism for the Student Council (STUCO) sponsored Turnabout Dance, the Turnabout Week lunch games continued on Feb. 24 with the game, “Water Wars.”
During the second and third lunch shifts, two senior men were chosen to participate, going head to head in a classic card game of War.
However, there was one stipulation to the rules.
Each participant was equipped with five cups of water and for every hand won, the winning student was allotted a chance to douse his opponent with one cup of water.
The first person to run out of water by winning five hands of War was declared the winner and was provided two free tickets to this year’s Prom.
However, as a special treat, STUCO sponsor David Choate went head to head with the two senior men, Jeff Holiday and Nick Cain, during the first lunch shift.
In the end, the seniors doused Choate five times and Choate failed to win a single hand.
By completing the clean sweep, the senior men picked up both Choate’s “World Champion” belt and two free tickets to Prom.
In response to his defeat, Choate said, “No, I have nothing to say. It’s just embarrassing.”

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
