Snow takes students, staff by surprise

Upon awakening this morning (March 14), many in the area were shocked when looking out their windows. A blanket of snow, at least three inches deep, has covered Wildwood, Chesterfield and the surrounding St. Louis area.

These unexpected conditions have accumulated to an approximate three inches of snow, and according to forecasters  this weather won’t be letting up any time soon.

Needless to say, traffic conditions have caused problems for many. With multiple accidents and a buildup of snow, drivers are abandoning their cars on Highway 109 as there is no where to go.

“I left to come early and work on yearbook this morning at 7:30 a.m. and I didnt get here until 8:10 a.m., ” sophomore Morgan Alwell said.

Students and staff continue to file in late and announcements have been made about procedures to take in the event that teachers have not yet made it to their classrooms.
