The Community Service class is sponsoring a fundraiser during lunch during the week of May 2-6 to benefit victims of the recent storms and tornados in the St. Louis area.
The fundraiser, called “Dunkin’ for Donuts” and “Bankin’ for Bagels” allows students to test their basketball skills with a freethrow shot.
For $1, students get two opportunities to make a basket. Those that succeed get a bagel or donut of their choice.
A donation of $3 guarantees a bagel or donut if the contestant makes two out of the three shots. Also, their name will be entered into a raffle. Winners will receive a $25 Olive Garden giftcard, dinner for two at Chipotle, or two free Chic-fil-a sandwiches.
Community Service student Sara Duncan said that the goal is to make the fundraiser as entertaining as possible. “We’re trying to do something that kids will want to participate in and raise money for a good cause at the same time,” she said.
The basketball game ran through Monday and Tuesday, and students are encouraged to donate money and sign a banner through the rest of the week.
The fundraiser has raised $240 so far, and the goal is $300 by the end of the week.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
