Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Lady Lancers pay tribute to seniors, dedicated manager in win over Lindbergh

On one of the most memorable nights of Lafayette basketball, the Lady Lancers honored their seniors in more ways than one.

The 64-47 victory over Lindbergh was achieved with an all-around team effort, in which seniors Jenna Bishop and Dawn Dickerson both made strong contributions to the win.

“It was fun to be able to play and it was a great atmosphere,” Dickerson said.

“(The underclassmen) admire our seniors very much and we wanted them to have a memorable experience. They’re selfless and work very hard,” Coach Jennifer Porter said.

Also honored was senior manager Kelly Pinney, who was given the chance to play during the fourth quarter.

In an impressive display of sportsmanship, the Flyers brought the crowd to its feet by intentionally sending Pinney, who has Down’s Syndrome, to the free throw line.

“It was one of the greatest experiences I’ve had in my coaching career. Without (the help of) Lindbergh, it wouldn’t have been possible. They were very classy,” Porter said.
