Boys volleyball to compete in State semi-finals
The boys volleyball team has had a successful season thus far. The team is 27-4, and after claiming the District Championship title, the boys are preparing to compete in the State semi-finals on May 22 at 4 p.m. against Vianney.
Despite losing several contributing seniors from last year’s State Championship team, the Lancers have handled adversity throughout the season.
“The new mix of guys have offered several challenges, but these men have been able to answer each obstacle placed ahead of them,” Head Coach Douglas Ell said.
Although they had a successful regular season, the Lancers are still trying to accomplish more of their goals and will be looking to advance in the State Tournament on May 22. Even though the boy’s season is not yet over, Ell says that he would describe his team’s regular season as memorable.
“[My favorite memory was] watching a group of guys grow over the last four years into young men who will go on and accomplish great things both on and off the court,” Ell said.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
