Robbe, Wolf combine to score 31 points in District win over Eureka

After their 54-50 win over Eureka, in round one of the District playoffs, the Lady Lancer varsity basketball team is riding a seven game winning streak and is sitting at a record of 18-7.

Sophomores Tara Robbe and Sydnie Wolf, had a stellar game putting up 57 percent of the teams points. Robbe had 18 points and six rebounds while Wolf had 13 points and dished out five assists. Robbe and Wolf have been some of the most consistent players on the team this year with Robbe averaging 11.1 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game and she is also averaging 1.48 blocks per game. Wolf is putting up solid number as well with an average of 8.8 points per game and an average of 1.4 assists per game.

So far in the District tournament, the Lady Lancer have only played once, against the Wildcats, and will now face a tough Washington (24-3) team. Washington has also played once in the tournament thus far as they beat Francis Howell soundly by a score of 52-32. In the last two years, Washington has ended the Lady Lancers season and with a tough, win or go home game, expect the Lady Lancers to be playing at their full potential in an effort to win their first District title since the 2010-2011 season.

The game is being hosted at Eureka and will start promptly at 7 p.m. on March 2.
