May 14, 2015
The Lafayette track team has had an outstanding season this year. Many athletes on Lafayette track and field team have really showcased their abilities by shattering multiple records this year. This has led to the Lafayette track and field team winning the majority of their meets this year.
Lafayette recently traveled to Fox High School for Conferences and easily took first place by a wide margin. Some major contributors to this win include junior Brendan Scales, who toppled his competition by placing first in not only boys throwing, but discus as well. Junior Tanner Grimm also boosted Lafayette’s overall score by placing first in the long jump and triple jump.
After such a outstanding performance at Conferences, Lafayette plans to take the confidence they gained from the win at Fox and have it aid them at Districts.
Grimm said, “The whole team is excited from the win at Conferences and we think we will have the same luck at districts.”
Districts will be held at Principia High School this Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
