Girls lacrosse aims for mid season push
April 15, 2014
After a modest start to their season, the Lady Lancers varsity girls lacrosse team looks to gain ground in their conference. Due to inclement weather, there have been multiple games cancelled. One game in particular, against Marquette, will be played tomorrow which was previously scheduled for April 2.
Notable wins this season have included an 11-5 beat down of Notre Dame de Sion at St. Teresa’s, as well as a solid 10-9 victory at Westminster.
The team also has some solid stat leaders as well. Sophomore Maria Johnson is currently leading the team in points with 29 (26 goals, 3 assists.) She also leads the team in ground balls with 34.
For the rest of the season, there will be competitive match ups for the girls team to test their skills including St. Josephs, MICDS and Kirkwood.
