Girls golf loses team sectional, but Hennrich and Charpentier qualify as individuals (Update)

On Oct. 6, Lafayette placed seventh out of seven teams in the Class 2 Sectional 1 tournament at the Links at Dardenne course in O’Fallon, MO with a team score of 375, 34 strokes off of Marquette’s winning score of 341. Lafayette will not advance to the state tournament as a team.
There were some bright spots for the Lady Lancers. Mindy Hennrich placed second overall with a score of 79 and Sammi Charpentier placed seventh with a score of 84. They will both qualify for the state tournament on Oct. 13-14 at Twin Hills Country Club.

UPDATE: At the State tournament, Mindy Hennrich finished 23rd, with a score of 90. Sammi Charpentier finished 65th with a score of 101.
