Boys basketball rolls past Mehlville, Northwest
January 23, 2014
The season is looking positive for the Lancers and things seem to be going their way. So far, the boys are 11-2, with a Tournament championship under their belt.
All the players are making contributions that the coaches hoped for and much more. This is the exact confidence the boys need if they are going to claim that District title.
The Lancers went to Eureka and defeated the Wildcats 63-53, and have claimed all bragging rights. With the season far from over, the boys are ready to roll on the with the rest of the schedule and are confident they can keep up the streak.
Mehlville and Northwest were no match for Lafayette’s sharp shooting and handling as they fell 18-56 and 22-68. For the Mehlville game, the boys broke a record for the lowest points scored against them in school history.
The Lancers will face St. Louis University High this Friday on the Jr. Billikens home court at 7 p.m.
