Girls tennis clinches Conference
There are about 90 girls on the team but only 10 play varsity, so competition to play at the highest level is present. The tennis team has compiled a terrific record so far this season, with wins against both Marquette Mustangs and Eureka Wildcats.
Last season, after winning 5-4 over the rival Mustangs, the Lancers were crowned conference winners. The Lancers will then look to prepare for the playoffs and will hopefully move on to state like last season.
Senior captain Arianna Demos and junior captain Haleigh Chobanian will guide their team to success over the next few weeks. Along with Demos and Chobanian, Kayla Neskar and Emily Weinhold will also play a critical role in determining the team’s fate.
Their next matchup will be on their home courts today at 4:15; they will play Cor Jesu. Districts will begin on October 7th and will continue through October 9th.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
