Boys swimming faces Parkway West
Lafayette’s boys swimming will face off at Parkway West tonight Sept. 10 at 4:15 p.m.
In hopes of compiling a win this season, senior athletes Jacob Alspaw and Brent Huffines are looking forward to tonight’s meet. After a successful weekend at the Marquette Relays, the team took second overall.
Huffines said that the goal for the Parkway West meet is to, “hopefully win and start to get times that will help qualify for state.”
Although this year’s season opener at Parkway Central was a tough lost for the Lancers, they are using each meet to continuously improve.
Last year the Lancers won Conference and are hoping to maintain that title yet another year. Losing contributing seniors may be a challenge, but the rising underclassmen have proven their dedication to the team. Junior Michael Murphy and Sophomore Jon Wilmsen will help guide the Lancer crew to victory.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
