Boys cross country is successful at Suburban West Meet
Quisenberry and Hindman lead the team as they go up against SLUH and Rock Bridge.
The state qualifying team from last season continues to have major success this season. On Oct. 12 at Northwest High School, the boys competed at the Suburban West Conference Meet.
According to Missouri Mile Split, three out of the top five athletes for the 500 meter race were from Lafayette. Sophomore Dylan Quisenberry clinched second place right behind Marquette’s Noah Kauppila. Quisenberry ran a 16:08.10.
Following Quisenberry were freshman Austin Hindman, with a time of 16:20.90 and sophomore Alec Haines, with a time of 16:22.90. They all placed in the top five. Out of 50 athletes, that competed all of the Lancers were within the top 20, one of the goals that Coach Sean O’Connor had for them.
Lafayette’s team won first place with a total of 27 points. They hope to continue their winning streak as they face off in the District Meet.
