What are your greatest accomplishments this season?
“For me personally, probably scoring 28 points against Clayton in the beginning of the season. It’s the most I have scored in a game, so that was pretty big,” Nania said.
What motivates you to play?
“Definitely my teammates, they’re like my best friends, so they make want to go to practices. And if I don’t feel like playing, I see them, and I feel like [I want to] play now,” Nania said.
As one the only seniors on the team, how have you helped lead the team?
“Mary Hails and I are the only two seniors on the team, we are also taking charge. I have been the team captain since sophomore year, so I’ve always been a leader of the team,” Nania said.
How does it feel to be scoring your 1000th point?
“It’s going to feel great, it’s going to feel like all my hard work has paid off, and really that is the biggest thing. As a freshman, I started off with the amount of points I scored, but these last three years, I’ve scored a ton, so it just feel really good,” Nania said.
Who is your role model?
“I could say Caitlin Clark, but really I have to say my club coach, his name is Jim and he is the one who pushed me to start playing basketball seriously,” Nania said.
What is your favorite team-bonding activity?
“Our trips to Kansas for sure, they are really fun and that’s where the most team bonding happens. We get to know each other the best,” Nania said.
What are your future plans after high school?
Nania plans on studying at Mizzou, while continuing to play club basketball, but she has received offers form a couple of smaller schools, that she is still debating on.
