Baseball
The Lancers beat Francis Howell April 29, 5-2. They played two games against Eureka losing to them 2-3 on April 30 and taking them down 8-6 on May 1. This week they will play Francis Howell Central on May 6, Rockwood Summit on May 7 and Rockwood Summit on May 8. They end the week by playing Fort Zumwalt West May 10.
Boys Golf
At the Suburban Conference Yellow Pool Tournament, the Lancers finished 2nd. Juniors Mac Freeman, Anders Thomas and Connor McCown finished 3rd, 5th and 9th, respectively. Sophomores Austin Rinkenberger and Braxton Lawhorn finished 10th and 13th also.
Boys Lacrosse
The Lancers defeated the Marquette Mustangs 10-9 on April 29. They also took down Francis Howell Central 13-0 on May 1.
Girls Lacrosse
The Lady Lancers lost to Villa Duchesne 16-8 on April 30 and lost to the MICDS Rams on May 2, 17-2. They then beat Parkway South 13-9. This week, they will take on Kirkwood May 8 and Marquette May 9.
Girls Soccer
The Lady Lancers had a 2-1 record last week. They beat Summit 1-0 and Timberland 2-0 with junior Addison Keen getting a brace in the Timberland win. In the Battle of 109, the Lady Lancers lost to Eureka 4-3. The Lady Lancers will face Parkway West away, May 7. Then they will take on Webster Groves at home at 4:30 p.m. May 8.
Boys Tennis
At the beginning of the week, the Lancers lost against Timberland 6-3. At their individual district tournament on Saturday, May 4, senior Hudson Kohler qualified for the State tournament by placing 2nd in singles. Additionally, juniors Dhruvan Kiran and Rachit Patel placed 4th in doubles.
Boys Track
In their Conference meet, the Lancers placed first in the Red Pool. In the 800-meter relay, seniors Sagan Alsop, Dillon Cronin, Luke Snyder and sophomore Kai Han won. In the 100-meter relay, seniors Matt Hoeft, David Marshall, Tabari Tinsley and junior Carl King placed 1st. The Lancers also placed first for the 400-meter relay, in which Hoeft, King and seniors Rylan Retych and Jack Robeson won. Senior Isaac Jovcevski placed 1st in 110-meter hurdles and King placed 1st in 300-meter hurdles. In the 1600-meter, Robeson came in 1st, along with junior Daniel D’Andrea for the 3200-meter. Hoeft also won long jump and high jump, along with junior Robby Preckel winning javelin.
Girls Track
Placing 2nd at Conferences, the Lady Lancers took home 12 wins overall. Sophomore Chloe Tabb sets a school record in the triple jump, placing 1st, along with sophomore Sydney Berger in the javelin. Tabb also won the long jump. Freshman Shaye Witherspoon placed 1st in the high jump and senior Mya Whittington won shot-put. In the 400-meter relay, juniors Avery Brown and Lauren Pauls and freshmen Kelly Archambeault and Alexis Sandberg placed 1st. Brown also won the 400-meter and Pauls won the 800-meter. Senior Natalie Barnard got 1st in the 1600-meter.
Boys Volleyball
The Lancers went 3-0 this week in the lead-in to playoffs. In a conference game, the Lancers avenged their previous loss to Parkway Central with a 3-1 over the Colts. They then swept Parkway South and Northwest Cedar Hill later in the week. For the first round of Conferences, the Lancers will take on Borgia, May 7. The game is at Lafayette at 4:45 p.m.
Boys Water Polo
The Lancers beat CBC 14-8, last week, Then they beat Parkway South 16-15 in the first round of State. Their next opponent at State is Oakville. They will face the Tigers at Lindbergh May 7 at 5:15 p.m.
Girls Water Polo
The Lady Lancers ended their season with a 10-6 loss to Oakville in the first round of State.
