Boys wrestling finishes second at Districts, girls swimming and diving preps for State

Boys Basketball

Boys basketball started the week with a 63-60 win over Parkway Central. The next day, the boys lost to Ladue, 51-46. To end the week, they lost to Parkway West, 47-40. On Feb. 15, the Lancers will play at Pattonville at 7 p.m. They will play at Oakville Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. and Mehlville Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.

Girls Basketball

On Feb. 8, the Lady Lancers took on the Parkway Central Colts. Beating them 64-25, senior Ana McClellan led the team with 20 points. Feb. 11, the team went up against the Parkway West Longhorns, losing 61-56 in overtime. The Lady Lancers will travel to Cor Jesu Feb. 16 at 5 p.m.

Hockey

The Lancers won the third game of their Round Robin entry for the Wickenheiser Cup against Rockwood Summit on Feb. 7. Junior Andrew Knapp scored two goals and sophomore Drew Robinson contributed one in the 3-1 win against the Falcons. In the first round of Quarterfinals on Feb. 10, the Lancers faced off against the Seckman Jaguars, winning 3-0. They’ll play the Jaguars again in the second round Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Maryville Hockey Center. To remain alive in the tournament, the Lancers must win or tie.

Girls Swimming and Diving

The Lady Lancers head to the State Championships Feb. 18-19 at the St. Peters Rec Plex.

Boys Wrestling

The Lancers took second overall in the Class 4, District 1 Tournament over the weekend. The team had nine individual State qualifiers. First-place finishers included seniors Drew Doehring and Tommy Hagan and sophomore Andrew Weir. Junior Gavin Shoulders and sophomore Dylan Roth both finished in second place, and senior Alex Doehring along with freshmen Aiden Schoen and Jackson Tenny finished in third place. Senior Jack McDonald finished in fourth place. The Lancers will take part in the MSHSAA State Tournament Feb. 17 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri.

Girls Wrestling

The Lady Lancers will also participate in the MSHSAA State Tournament Feb. 17 at Mizzou Arena.
