Rain fails to dampen events at LHS Invitational at end of April

On April 24, the Lancers hosted the Lafayette Invitational where they hosted teams including Eureka, Kirkwood, Lindbergh and many others. Though rain delayed the start of the meet and forced some changes to the schedule, both boys and girls varsity teams were able to get in a full day of track and field events. The Lady Lancers placed second overall and the boys placed third.
With nobody else in sight, sophomore Grace Tyson runs across the finish line in the two-mile run. Her time was 10:51 seconds, with the next best finisher being sophomore Elissa Barnard with a time of 11:21.
