Heading into their first game of Districts, the boys basketball team will face Parkway South Feb. 25 at Marquette. Using the momentum from a three game winning streak, the Lancers look to maintain a strong offense to defeat the Patriots.
With a record of 14-11, the Lancers will approach the District tournament as a whole new season. After already having lost to Lafayette earlier this month, Parkway South may have a disadvantage entering competition against the Lancers for the second time.
Averaging 13.1 points per game, junior Nate Messer hopes to make an imact and lead his team to a victory. With the pressure of a possible last game in a Lancer uniform, senior Shacquille Holley will play lights out and looks to advance in District play.
The team that comes out on top will face 18-7 Rockwood Summit Feb. 26 at 7:15 p.m. Competition will begin tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Marquette.
