After a successful past weekend of competing and also great weather, the Lady Lancer Track and Field team took home first with a total of 178 points, knocking out Parkway South by 23 points.
Hoping to be this successful again, the Lady Lancers will be traveling to Webster Groves on Thursday, April 18 and will also compete Saturday, April 21 at Ladue High School.
The meet on Thursday will include all members of JV and Varsity. Due to senior awards on Thursday night, most senior athletes won’t be competing in the meet. Underclassman will be expected to rise to the occasion and perform to their best ability, in hopes of filling senior’s shoes.
With the weather not working towards the girl’s advantage, the past week has been filled with limited practice time. Despite the predicted rain, The Weather Channel said the weather for Sat. April 21st should be clear.
Spring sports is the shortest high school sports season and with only three weeks left of meets for some girls on the team, they want to take advantage of every chance of nice weather.
