The Lady Lancer volleyball team traveled to Kickapoo High School last weekend for the Springfield Classic Tournament. After defeating Republic in the finals, the girls secured the Champion title, a repeat from last year.
“We played Republic twice. The points were long and draining, but we knew if we stayed focus, we could become just as successful as last year,” senior Stephanie Campbell said.
The team has yet to lose a game to any opponent in both season games and tournaments. Entering their home game against Eureka on Tuesday with a 16-0 record, they hope to continue their winning streak against the Wildcats.
With high expectations, the Lancers enter every game the same, no matter who is on the other side of the net.
“People are constantly telling us we will win State again, but we try not to jinx ourselves. We definitely have the potential, but no team will be easily defeated,” Campbell said.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
