Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Michigan product becomes Lafayette point man

Fresh off the bus from Michigan sophomore Joel Pennington has brought one thing to Lafayette, his basketball game. Pennington is leading the team with over  five  assist per game and gives all his success to his teammates.

“Teammates help motivate you and always looking to pick you up when your down,” Pennington said.

Pennington knows how to shoot the ball shooting over 40 percent from the field and when he is in the zone he is a machine that cannot be stopped.

“It just feels good to be on fire, because every time you put up a shot you know it is going straight in,” Pennington said.

Coming from Michigan, Pennington had no problem fitting in to a close team.  And has one goal to do well for the team.

“I always want to play well, I want to the seniors to have a good season and the team chemistry helps push me through the games,” Pennington said.

Being new to the school Pennington has not experienced a Lafayette-Marquette rivalry game and was expecting a big show.

The crowd did not rattle him one bit, as he scored eight key points in a 56-44 Lafayette victory.
