Listen In: Book promotes autism awareness, acceptance
As part of the curriculum for several language arts classes, students are checked out a copy of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Since the author wrote the main character in the book to be autistic, reading it can be a way to understand what having autism is like.
