I would buy myself a house and a car. I would buy my mom a house in Malibu. I would buy myself a boat. I want to go to Las Vegas, California, Atlanta and the Bahamas. [I'd still go to school] because I don't want the lottery money to stop me from getting a good education.

On Oct. 24, the Mega Millions lottery announced the winner of the $1.537 billion jackpot, a South Carolina native. For a few weeks prior to the announcement, the school was filled with the imagination of what to do if they won the lottery. As we observed this national lottery fervor, we asked Lafayette students what they would do if they had the winning lottery ticket.
