I am going to be completely honest. I have absolutely no desire to do anything right now–school related, that is.
It happens to be that awkward time between holiday break and spring break. It’s the limbo of the school year. Not close enough to the beginning of the year to pretend my laziness is from adjusting to the school year, but not close enough to the end of the year to say that my laziness is due to summer vacation jitters.
It’s 3rd Quarter slump.
Progress Reports come out within the next few days, and let’s be honest, there are about two grades total in each class, and half of us haven’t done our homework.
I’ll be the first to admit that I am lazy, sluggish, lackadaisical, apathetic, etc… You name it, I probably have felt it.
But it’s about time to start work. We have the prospect of being grounded hanging over our heads, and no one that I know of wants to cancel any much anticipated spring break activities over a bad grades.
I am making it my job to actually do my homework, workout regularly, maybe–just maybe– do my chores. If you ask me, it seems like way too much to do, but I’ll get over it…eventually.
So, as much as I dread the thought of productive activities, I challenge everyone and myself to attempt to get off the couch, and do something.
3rd Quarter slump has met its match. (Hopefully).

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
