Lafayette’s Taste of West County this year will take place on March 11 in the Commons from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Taste of West County is an after-school event where restaurants participate and offer samples of their signature items to people who come.
One of the Junior Class Directors, Todd Werk, talks more about the return of Taste of West County and its helping benefit.
“This is the first Taste of West County in four years. COVID-19 shut it down and even after things returned to somewhat normal, restaurants were still struggling for quite some time. One way we are helping is to offer student help instead of restaurants supplying all the labor on Taste night,” Werk said.
This event is a Junior Class fundraiser, and funds raised will go towards the senior activities for the Class of 2025.
If a person is interested in going, tickets are available online only. The pricing for a single ticket is $15, or a family of four could purchase one for $50.
Additionally, each ticket holder will receive a card that lists the participating restaurants. As they try different samples from various restaurants, their card will be marked.
Along with trying samples, there will also be a raffle open.
