Pie A Teacher

Lafayette’s United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is teaming up with the Gender Equality club to create a fundraiser, Pie A Teacher.

The goal of this fundraiser is to raise money for both UNICEF and Lydia’s House, an organization that works towards ending domestic violence in women and children. The profits made will be split evenly between the two causes.

To help raise money, boxes will be put in the classrooms of the language arts teachers who are participating. Students in their classes will be able to donate money to the box until March 8. The top three teachers who have raised the most money will take a pie to the face by one of their students. The student who “pies” their teacher will be chose from a raffle of the students who have donated.

The Pie A Teacher event will take place during lunches on March 10.
