Father/Daughter Dance & Mother/Son Brunch

Since 2008, the Senior class has had a chance to bond with their parents like never before. The Father/Daughter Dance and the Mother/Son Brunch bring the opportunity for seniors and their parents to have one last “moment” before they move on to the next chapter in their life.

All together, there are four events held throughout the year: the Mother/Daughter Bunco Brunch & the Father/Son Texas Hold ‘Em in the fall, and the Father/Daughter Dance & the Mother/Son Brunch in the spring. These are exclusive events to LHS.

Mother/Son Brunch planner and LHS Parent Denise Foley expressed the true meaning behind these events.

“It is the hope of those planning to bring one more memory between parent and child to bond over,” Foley said. “I’ve had four kids go through Lafayette and am out and about and around the school a lot. I have always heard and received positive feedback and have never heard anyone say anything negative about these events. They are truly memory makers.”

Expected to have about 150 students attending, the brunch and dance are both scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27 at The Legends Country Club. The brunch will be from 10:30 a.m – 1 p.m and the dance will be from 6:15 – 10 p.m.
