Steve Berry receives Activities Director of the Year award
January 15, 2015
Activities Director Steve Berry recently won an award for Activities Director of the year in the St. Louis area.
Berry said he felt very humbled upon being nominated for and receiving this award by his peers.
“The second and most important thing I have to say, is that this award really is a bigger thing than just ‘Steve Berry’s award of recognition.’ It is for the student athletes, directors and the team activities that make it all happen. I just happened to be the face of that,” Berry said.
Principal John Shaughnessy said the award was well-deserved and he is looking forward to the next years of work with Berry.
“It is a very exciting feeling. He represents all the hard work and dedication of the coaches and sponsors that all colleges recognize,” Shaughnessy said.
Berry will be receiving the plaque for his award at the Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) in April.
