Band’s first concert to be Nov. 5
November 5, 2015
Lafayette’s first band concert of the 2015-2016 year will be taking place in the Theater on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
“The students have been working on the music since August, in the beginning of school and this will be our first concert of the year,” music teacher Traci Bolton said.
The concert will incorporate woodwind and brass ensembles and will also showcase performances from the concert band.
“It’s our concert band and our symphonic band. So it’s two levels, both band classes,” Bolton said.
The concert will include multiple songs per group, culminating in a set of performances by the concert band.
“We are going to feature some woodwind ensembles and brass ensembles and several full pieces by the concert band as well,” music teacher Brad Balog said.
Bolton is enthusiastic for the concert and welcomes all to come.
“The concert is tomorrow night at 7 in the theater and its free and open to everyone,” Bolton said.
