Students selected as members of 2014-2015 Missouri All-State Orchestra, All-State Band

Several students are being recognized for their outstanding musical talent and these students have been selected to be members of Missouri’s All-State Orchestra and All-State Band.
The students selected for the 2014-2015 Missouri All-State Orchestra include Matthew Rho for 1st violin, Elizabeth Beers for 2nd violin, Christine Shao also for 2nd violin, Nathaniel Ho for viola, Will Shatz for viola and Maddie Mullen for cello.
All of these students will be performing at the Missouri Music Educators Conference on Jan. 28 through Jan. 31.
Students chosen for the 2014-2015 Missouri All-State Band are Melissa Northem as 8th chair trumpet, Emily Schaper as 1st chair bassoon and Hannah Weibert as 3rd chair trumpet.
Northem, Schaper and Weibert will also be performing at the Missouri Music Educators Conference on Jan. 28 through Jan. 31 with the All-State Band.
Also for All-State Band Sai Allu was selected as alternate french horn and Chloe Decher received an honorable mention for the flute.
The Missouri Music Educators Conference will be held at the Lake of the Ozarks where both All-State Orchestra and All-State Band will be performing starting on Jan. 28 and ending Jan. 31.
Brad Balog, Band director, and Joe Gutowski, Orchestra director, said they are extremely proud of these outstanding musicians and their terrific accomplishment.
