Annual McTeacher night to be held Tuesday, Nov. 19
The annual McTeacher Night will be held Tuesday, November 19.
Staff members volunteer to work the event. They serve food, take orders and hand customers their bags through the drive-thru.
Matt Landwehr, community service teacher and Renaissance sponsor, participates in the annual event.
“It’s just a lot of fun. They’ll let you do just about anything. I’ve worked the cash register, I’ve done the drive thru and I’ve served Mcflurries and fries. I’m pretty good at making McFlurries, if I may say so myself,” Landwehr said.
15 percent of the sales go to LHS Renaissance.
“It’s usually one of our better fundraisers every year. It averages around $600,” Landwehr said.
Those interested in supporting the event should stop by the Ellisville McDonalds (at the corner of Clarkson and Manchester) from 5-8pm.

My sister, [Class of 2020 alumni] Grace Kirtley, started STL Spark when she was in high school and she would have people carry it on after she graduated, Mary said. Last year I got invited to join the board again with my sister, senior Patty Kirtley, and so weve been working on carrying her legacy a bit.
