Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Trivia Night to help raise money for class of 2015’s graduation celebrations

The Sophomore Trivia Night will be held on Jan. 26 to raise money to help fund the class of 2015’s Senior Celebration. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for students and staff.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the trivia, which will be announced by Nathan Willard, language arts teacher, will start at 7 p.m. Previous trivia themes have included questions about Lafayette history, questions about St. Louis and even a category in which you have to guess the flavors of jelly beans.

Also, groups will be able to decorate their tables to help raise team spirit.

“In the past a group brought in all of the components for the game Angry Birds,” Assistant Principal Mandy Lewis said. “They would build things with 2×4’s and knock them down with little stuffed birds, then build it back up again.”

In the past, more than 100 people have signed up, and the event raised over $15,000 last year alone through ticket sales, a silent auction and other events and games.
