On Thursday May 3, Students from Lafayette’s theatre company will be putting on Thursday Night Live.
Thursday Night Live is the students’ run off of Saturday Night Live (SNL), a very popular NBC show that requires actors to follow a very vague script and improvise the rest.
SNL turns current American culture and politics into a comedy spin and variety show.
Theater teacher Natasha Toro said, “It is set up just like Saturday Night live; we have a musical guest in between our skits.”
This production will be directed and organized by the Theatre III class. The students write, direct and preform in all of the skits being presented.
There will be a total of 10 skits and five different musical performances during the night.
“The kids have a blast doing this production and they are very excited about Thursday,” Toro said.
The students that are a part of this production are excited to be able to preform and for Senior Tom Unruh it will be his last preformance.
“I’m pretty excited about it, it should be a lot of fun and it will be my last performance so it will be a nice way to go out,” Unruh said.
If you, or your family is planning to attend you will be able to purchase tickets at the door for $3.
